Accessibility statement
BBES is committed to making this website usable by everyone, regardless of ability or technology. This statement explains how accessible we believe the site is, what we are working on, and how to ask for help.
Standards we follow
We target WCAG 2.2 AA as the baseline standard. We test on desktop and mobile, with keyboard-only navigation, and using assistive technologies including screen readers (VoiceOver and TalkBack).
Conformance status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. "Partially conformant" means some parts of the content do not fully meet the standard. We are actively improving the site to reach full AA conformance.
Known issues we are working on
- Some legacy page templates do not yet have unique, descriptive page titles for assistive technology — being fixed.
- Some images of cleaning work use generic alt text — being rewritten with descriptive text.
- Focus indicators on a small number of buttons need higher contrast — being updated.
- Some long forms could be split into smaller steps for easier completion — being reviewed.
