What moves the price
- Surface and substrate. Soft limestone, painted render and silicone render need low-pressure methods and longer dwell times, so they take more hours than block paving of the same area.
- Access. Rear elevations reachable only through the house, stepped frontages, gradients and residents' parking zones all add time, and we price that honestly rather than discovering it on the day.
- Area and height. Roof area, drive length and the number of storeys are the three biggest levers on any quote.
- Condition. A drive cleaned two years ago costs less than one that has never been touched. Established lichen and iron staining take extra passes.
- What has to happen first. Failing mortar wants pointing before a frontage is cleaned. We will say so rather than clean over a problem.
What is included in every price
- Method matched to the surface, agreed before we start.
- Waste removed and disposed of through a licensed route.
- Photo handover of the finished work.
- A 7-day rework guarantee in writing. If the result is not right, we come back within seven days at no charge. Read the guarantee.
Payment and cancellation
- Domestic work is payable on completion by bank transfer or card. No deposit is required for jobs under £500.
- Cancelling inside 48 hours may attract a £50 cancellation fee, waived for bereavement, serious illness or comparable cause.
- A £50 abortive-visit fee may apply for a no-show or no access, plus any reasonable parking charge.
- Full terms are on the terms page.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no fixed price for my house?
Because the same service costs different amounts on different buildings. A mid-terrace gutter run and a detached four-elevation run are not the same job, and pretending otherwise means either overcharging the terrace or under-quoting the detached and asking for more on the day. The bands above are the honest starting points; photos get you a firm number.
How do I get an actual quote?
Email photos of the area to enquiries@bristolandbathexteriorsolutions.co.uk. We reply within one working day with an indicative price band and the method we would use. Larger properties get a site visit before the firm number.
Do you ask for a deposit?
Not for domestic jobs under £500. Payment is on completion by bank transfer or card, after you have seen the photo handover.
Is the quoted price the price I pay?
Yes, unless something changes on site that we could not see in the photos, and in that case we stop and tell you before doing the work rather than adding it to the invoice.
